Focus Group Helps Design Exceptional Patient Experience
It’s the goal of the team at the Sentara Heart and Vascular Center to provide an exceptional patient and family experience. How do we know what makes an exceptional experience? We asked the experts – our patients and their families. Then we listened.
Pictured are members of our focus group whose input was invaluable during the planning process. Special thanks to (left to right) Sharee Rolfe, Ed Ball, Joyce Ellis, Jim Wallen, Rose DeStefano, Janice Wallen, and Don Ellis.
Residents in our community will now have the option of receiving cardiovascular care closer to home, with the new array of services to be offered in the Sentara Heart and Vascular Center at Potomac Hospital, scheduled to open on May 31.
These new services include Interventional Cardiac Catheterization (which is currently not available in Prince William County) and other procedures to treat heart disease. The 12,000 square-foot Center, conveniently located on the campus of Sentara Potomac Hospital, will also offer:
•Designated parking and separate Center entrance (this summer)
•Comfortable waiting area with a television, computer, and wireless access
•A comprehensive discharge packet created with cardiac patient input
•Diet and nutrition classes for family members
You’re invited to our free Sentara Heart and Vascular Center Community Open House on Saturday, May 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
During the event you can:
• Tour the center
• Meet the doctors and staff
• Have a free blood pressure screening
• Enjoy refreshments
